Ìý Helena Bonham Carter Tuesday 14 August 2001 Ìý
Helena Bonham Carter received Oscar, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild best actress nominations for her performance in Wings of the Dove.

When Director Trevor Nunn persuaded her to postpone her university studies to star in his film Lady Jane, it was to lead to an offer from James Ivory to play one of the main roles in A Room with a View.
It was to be the first in a series of roles in E M Forster adaptations which would bring her international acclaim. Other notable roles have included Ophelia in Franco Zeffrelli's Hamlet opposite Mel Gibson and Elizabeth in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
Helena has also played a variety of roles on television and stage and will next be seen playing Ari in this Summer's blockbuster Planet of the Apes.
She tells Sheila how many hours she spent in make-up and about the ape school the actors had to attend.
