More than fifty thousand woman and girls are expected to kick a football around this summer, but is it possible to teach them a winning mentality?
In the US girls will be playing sport seriously by the age of nine. In Britain participation is seen as more important than competitiveness.
So do we need to inject a bit more aggressive competition into girls sport? Sheila is joined by Julie Potter, Editor of the new Sportswoman magazine and England footballer Marieanne Spacey.
