It was revealed yesterday that scientists are in the process of developing a new contraceptive pill. Amongst claims being made are that it could decrease the risk of breast cancer, thrombosis and endometriosis. And it would also mean an end to periods. But what might the long term side-effect be? How will it actually work and is a new contraceptive pill really necessary?
