Earlier this year Anne Keothavong broke into the top 50 of the female world tennis rankings, becoming the first British woman to do so since Jo Durie in 1993. She is currently placed 49th in the world, having climbed over 80 places in the rankings in the past year.Ìý ÌýShe was named LTA Female Player of the Year in 2008. Last week she got to the Doubles quarter-finals of the 2009 AEGON International in Eastbourne with her doubles partner Sarah Borwell.
