How can women fit more physical activity into their daily lives?

More thanÌý80% of women are not doing enough physical activity to benefit their health. But what is it that’s holding them back, and what practical steps can be taken to get them into the habit of exercising? Fitness expert Oriane Abbonizio takes Jane through some simple exercises that can be done in the living room without any specialist equipment, and former paralympic athlete Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson discusses how to give women and girls the confidence to enjoy exercise.

Fit exercise into your daily routine where possible – e.g. get off the bus one stop earlier/ walk to train station instead of driving/ walk the kids to school/ walk to the shops etc

Set yourself reminders/ auto emails at work to get up, move about, and stretch

15 lunges each leg/ 15 press-ups/ 15 squats/ 15 tricep dips/ 15 stomach crunches
