Ìý Â鶹ԼÅÄstart: Real parents 07 Apr 2006 Ìý
As any new parent will tell you, having kids isn't easy, they don't come with an instruction manual. And a recent survey has found that three quarters of parents would rather seek support from family, friends or neighbours than professional of official sources. This can make life hard, especially when these days we're less likely to live near our own families.

Â鶹ԼÅÄstart is a charity that provides just that. It grew from one initial project in Leicester, to more than three hundred schemes throughout the UK, and right now they're looking for new volunteers as part of their Real Parents campaign.Ìý

Judi Herman went to South London to meet Â鶹ԼÅÄstart's founder, Margaret Harrison and talk to Moira, her son James and volunteer Sandra.
