How have women influenced the telling of history?
The historian Dr. David Starkey has argued that British history has become "feminised'' by female authors who concentrate on subjects such as the six wives of Henry VIII rather than the king himself, and exaggerate the role of women in history. Jane Garvey discusses this controversial view with Kate Williams historian and author of “Becoming Victoria” and Professor Julian Swann Professor of Early Modern European History at Birkbeck College, London.
