Women Land Army Workers, Gwent Record Office)
Using historical objects to build up a picture of women's lives in Wales.

Calling all Welsh women! Do you have any of your mother’s old accounts books? Perhaps your great aunt hoarded knitting patterns or you have the sash your great grandmother wore as a suffragette? Tomorrow sees the first of sixteen Women’s History Roadshows andÌýa chance to find out more about these historical items. Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the roadshows are being launched by the Women’s Archive of Wales at the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff. Jane talks to Sue Hamill, the organiser of the roadshows and to Professor Deirdre Beddoe, one of the expert panellists, about the way these items will create a broader picture of women’s lives in Wales.
