A time for indulgence

Indulgence is the key when it comes to food at Christmas. Tins of chocolates, mince pies and biscuits are munched alongside the celebratory feast of turkey, goose or nut roast, with all the trimmings. Creating a feast fit for a king, albeit one in a paper hat, can be one of the most stressful parts of the Christmas season, butÌýalso one of the mostÌý delicious.ÌýWhat are the key ingredients and traditions that make a perfect Christmas feast?

Jenni is joined by the social historian Christina Hardyment, the journalist and author, Lucy Mangan and the academic and local historian Helena Whitbread.
