Breaking down barriers

Following their recent victory in the Ashes, the England women’s cricket team has been hailed as one of the most successful English sports teams in history. It is their third successiveÌýAshes win. They have also won the Twenty20 World Championship and the World Cup.ÌýÌýNevertheless, coverage of their achievements has been minimal. So just why is women’s sport overlooked and how can it be marketed to attract more fans as well as players? To discuss the way forwardÌýJaneÌýis joined byÌýAhlya Fateh, the Managing Editor of Tatler Magazine who has recently been appointed by the England and Wales Cricket Board to help shape the image of the England women's cricket team, and Juliana Koranteng, a business journalist who has highlighted strategies for the commercial development of women’s sport.
