WHAT TO DO IF YOU FIND A TURTLE ON THE BEACH

The Marine Conservation Society is urging British beach walkers to look out for stranded marine turtles after recent south-westerly gales have blown in several rare turtles on beaches around the UK over the last couple of months. If found alive, the turtles can be nursed back to health if rescued from the beach in time. Further details of what to do if you find a turtle on the beach can be foundÌý

EARLY BIRDS

With the mild winter we have been having, some of our garden birds seem to be getting into breeding condition early as there has been plenty of insects for them to feed on. Male birds will sing once they are in good condition to set up their breeding territories and to attract mates. have had some reports of birds breeding earlier than usual this year. If you have seen chicks that were born in early January we would be interested to know via our Shared Earth e-mail address link above.
