Orchards and wildlife

Traditional orchards are little gems for wildlife - with veteran trees and a more sustainable approach to the orchard's upkeep and management, they provide important food sources and havens for many rare species of wildlife. Traditional orchards have been put forward as a priority habitat under the UK Biodiversity Action Plan and this may help in their conservation
