Dylan Winter joins a wacky race at the Shell Eco-Marathon
The Bumblebee Sniffer Dog

has a trained springer spaniel which is helping them sniff out bumblebee nests.Ìý The dog was trained by the Army's Defence Animal Centre at Melton Mowbray.Ìý It is the scent of the bumblebee's nest that the dog hones in on.Ìý He'll help the Â鶹ԼÅÄT to find out the populations sizes of the rare bees they're trying to conserve.

Beach Litter

Beachwatch is a nation-wide beach clean-up and litter survey organised by the Marine Conservation Society.Ìý It takes place once every year, over the third weekend of September.Ìý This year's Beachwatch takes place from 16th-17th September.Ìý More information about the problems of beach litter and the Beachwatch Survey can be found onÌýtheÌý or contact the Marine Conservation Society at:
