Salisbury Plain Honey Bees

Lionel Kelleway ventures into the rugged terrain of Salisbury Plain to team up with Major Chris Wilkes who looks after the honey bees on this Ministry of Defence training ground.

Chris and Lionel head to a delightful woodland glade on Salisbury Plain that is far from soldiers camouflaged as bushes and the rumble of Challenger tanks.

Lionel is taken up close to the busy bees and explores the complexity of their life and the importance of bees in the ecology of the world around us.
