TOPICS
Eco footprint
Can you explain the phrase "global footprint": how do you calculate it and is it actually useful in identifying an individual's impact on the planet?
Cosmic dust
I've read that two million tons of cosmic dust filter down to the Earth's surface each year. This isn't a very large amount, but over three or four eons it would add up. Hands-on nature
Does legislation which sets out to protect our wildlife actually limit our understanding of it?
Population growth
We spoke to Dr Steven Sinding, director general,
The wren
Is the wren one of the most common birds in Britain. If so, why don't I see so many in my garden these days?
