The Art of Snogging

Your eyes meet, the rest of the world disappears, you clumsily bash your noses together as you lean forward, your lips meet and ..... fireworks, swelling violins and cramp in your neck as you enjoy the innocent pastime of snogging.

Until she was twelve, Nicola Harrison thought snogging was something that happened in Fifties Movies and was a polite pressing together of clamped lips. Then her best friend Linda told her about French Kissing. "Disgusting!" thought Nicola. However, real life experience with Justin behind a rock in Cornwall soon changed her opinion.

Nicola remembered that one of the joys of drooling teenagedom, was the snogging party where the aim was to snog all the chaps in the room. However, snogging is not without it's dangers, especially if you wear braces, and Nicola remembered how her friend Carol's braces got so entangled with those of her boyfriend that they had to be taken to the dentist to be cut free.

As the mother of a teenage boy, Nicola asked her son's friends about their snogging habits and discovered that the venues (park, cinema, swimming pool) remain the same. She was relieved to find that snogging is still naughty and usually done in a public place so serious groping is unlikely to follow if things were getting heated.
