AΒ couple of weeks ago Mike Phipps and John Fairweather talked about completing their ultimate quests. John has been climbing Munros - the mountains of Scotland - for the past 48 years and wasΒ about to climb his last one, number 284. He was to be accompanied by his old friend Mike, who, a long time ago, set himself the challenge of sampling all the 122 different malt whiskies.Β At the summit Mike would share his last malt with John.Β
