Should you pop into Muswell Hill police station in North London,Β you'llΒ probably meetΒ Ralph and Erica Richards. They run the front desk there - united in police business and the bonds of matrimony.Β Β
Together they are the Starskey and Hutch, the Morse and Lewis, or perhaps more appropriately the Sapphire and Steel of N10. Judi Herman joined them under the blue lamp as they began the morning shift.
