Helen Mark visits the villages of Hatherleigh and Great Torrington in Devon whichÌýwereÌýdevastated by the Foot and Mouth outbreak in 2001.ÌýThe drained community fought back byÌýestablishingÌýan annualÌýclassical music festival, now in its sixth year.
The is a nine day classical musical festival spread over a thousand square miles of Devon. It was started in 2001 as a direct response to the Foot and Mouth crisis which devastated the community.
Since then, it's continued to grow and has become one of the most respected festivals of its type in the country.
It hit the headlines last year when an £85,000 hand built Bosendorfer piano intended for the festival was .
