They spoke together for an hour or two and a little more besides
Said Johnson unto Jipson "Stop, lets hear this woman speak"

"Then stop I won't" said Jipson, "And stop I won't" said Ryde
"Then stop I will" said Johnson, "For I might buy some veal"

So Johnson he lighted up and tossed the deal around
And saw this Ambridge woman with her hair tied nicely round
"How much do you want?" said Johnson, "How much do you want?" said he
"Two milking men have helped me that you can plainly see"

Then Johnson being a valiant man, a man of courage bold
He took the pencil from his coat to keep her veal on hold
Then Johnson being a valiant man a man of valiant mind
He said to her that he would now bear her veal in mind

And when she did get back , she said "things went quite noice!"
She relaying the news to hubby in her awful piercing voice
