Vicky Unmasked
by JustJanie

chained diaryVicky's true nature is revealed by these diary entries, from the Fantasy Archers topic of .

"Early days yet, but Mike seems interested. How I hate ballroom dancing, but it seems to be the way to ensnare him. It's a good thing those gowns enhance my hour-glass figure. And he's just the right height to stare down my cleavage. If I succeed in my plans, I'll have a wedding dress just like that, maybe with a bit of glitter strategically placed. I could even pretend that I want that whiny brat of a daughter of his to help me chose it. It would be fun winding her up."

"That was a good ploy, discreetly removing myself from the scene when we caught her snivelling. There was no point in staying anyway, with her on the scene, but it made me look good."

"Luck is with me. She's back with the boyfriend, so it's full steam ahead. About time Mike found out that it's not just dancing I'm good at."

"How easily Mike played into my hands when he thought Neil and Susan had invited me to their anniversary dinner. Now he'll get the blame and not me for pushing myself in. I'll make sure I'm very quiet and unassuming so they don't suspect my plan."

Later ...

"Well, I suppose I did get a bit carried away and started to reveal my true nature a bit soon. Must remember to lay off the plonk next time. I don't think Susan likes me. "

"Oops! I did it again! And that was only on warm Cava. I'd meant to go all shy and retiring and into 'it's-Brenda-and-Tom's-moment' mode, but honestly, it's so much fun watching that silly girl grit her teeth and try to pretend she likes me. I suppose I really shouldn't have flirted with Tony like that, either. It's safe to assume now that Pat's not in my fan club either. Never mind, I don't need the women on my side. I saw that Brian Aldridge ogling me in the pub. All the men think Mike's a lucky devil. Still, maybe it's time to close this deal."

"I've done it! He's popped the question! Time to lay down the law a bit about the wedding prezzies. Trees, indeed! Vicky wants some nice things, and she's going to get them! Must remember to keep things nice and sweet at least until after the wedding. Many a slip and all that."

"Well, Isle of Wight, that was a big yawn. I tried to put a good face on things, but I think Mike's beginning to suspect Vicky's not quite as sweet and bubbly as he thought. I don't want things to turn sour too quickly, so I'll make sure I'm extra nice to him when we get back. I don't want him making too much of a fuss about my giving up my job. Maybe I'll just go part-time first."

"Oh, this is too good an opportunity to miss! I'll make them all think Vicky is desperate to go to that boring graduation - as if I cared! And I'll be ever so hurt if they can't find me a ticket, because I so want to be part of their lovely family, sob, sob!"

"Crikey, I may have overplayed my hand this time. I'm sure Mike's going to ask Roy to give up his ticket. Please, please, let him say 'no'!"

"I suppose it's win-win over the graduation. If I don't go, I can be all sad, and Mike can 'make it up to me'. And if I do go, I can wear that little strapless number, the gladiator sandals, lots of bling, lippy and mascara and see how that puling little wimp likes that! Oh, and I can keep interrupting Mike and talking for him, I love doing that when she's around. So, fasten your seatbelts, Teddies, it's going to be a bumpy ride!"
