Boii is a very bubbly and very talented 18 year old who has bounced onto the scene in Sierra Leone and is killing it there. In 2023 she had a huge hit with Credit Alert both at home and beyond, and was crowned best female artist in Sierra Leone.

She is determined to play her part in putting Sierra Leone’s music on the world map – an aspiration Kevin Kade would identify with.

He’s an up-and-coming artist from Rwanda who is working hard to get more international recognition for his country’s music. His song Munda has been topping the charts in recent weeks, and it amassed more than two million views on YouTube in its first two months.

Kevin Kade’s success comes against a backdrop of a lot of negative publicity. He was falsely accused of having sex with an underage girl and spent nearly a month in prison. He was eventually cleared and the young woman in question, who was not underage, spoke out in his defence.
