Morning sickness affects 4 in 5 women at some point in pregnancy but until now we鈥檝e known little about why. Now researchers in the USA, Sri Lanka and the UK have discovered that it could be linked to a hormone produced in the placenta, and the mother鈥檚 reaction to it. Dr Graham Easton explains how it could lead to new cures.
