Blaqbonez and Fantacee Wiz
Nigeria's Blaqbonez and Fantacee Wiz from Sierra Leone talk to DJ Edu about music, love and sex.
Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez tells DJ Edu about his new album, Young Preacher. The preaching in question is Blaqbonez’ challenge to conventional ideas about sex and love. The talented young artist believes that love is often killed by society’s expectations and that a true connection with someone does not have to be exclusive or require sexual fidelity.
In contrast, Fantacee Wiz from Sierra Leone, who also has new music out in the form of an EP entitled Karo Kuro, has been on a sexual journey expressed in her songs resulting in a rather different conclusion. She now describes herself as a sapio demi-sexual, which translates as someone who is turned on by high intelligence and emotional connection.
