The Syrian refugee helping people escape Ukraine

Tareq Alaows had his own perilous journey to safety when he fled Syria, now he’s a legal counsellor to refugees in Europe and is helping people fleeing the Ukraine war.

Aid worker Tareq Alaows has witnessed the brutality of war in Syria and after his own perilous journey to safety in Germany, became a legal counsellor to refugees in Europe. Now, he’s helping people fleeing the Ukraine war.

MarΓ­a Cecilia Botero is an actor from Colombia whose career spans five decades. She most recently voiced the character of the Abuela in the Oscar-winning Disney film, Encanto.
