Anita Jaxson quit music three years ago to work in IT but has found fame second time around. She is also a writer, having picked up a pen to help her through a bout of depression following a serious accident. It has resulted in some top tunes and a book with a story that tackles issues like albinism and child marriage in Zimbabwe.
ENC has spent over a decade working in the Gambia’s music scene. He has been a talent show contestant, a radio DJ and a record label boss. He tells TIA why he doesn’t want to remind people of their sad moments, keeping it fun in an interview that includes musings on topics including footwear and his country’s love affair with Bob Marley.
Plus, DJ Edu brings you his weekly rundown of the hottest tunes doing the business across The Motherland in the 10-in-10 mix.
