Nadia Nakai
South African hip-hop star Nadia Nakai talks to Edu about her music, her image and her feminist beliefs, and the 10-in-10 mix features tunes from Tanzania and Cameroon.
Nadia Nakai is a big star when it comes to South African hip-hop. She’s also a passionate feminist, and sees no contradiction between this and the sexy image she projects. She tells DJ Edu why it used to annoy her to be compared to Nicki Minaj, why she titled two of her albums Naked, and how she met her new man, American rapper Vic Mensah.
DJ Edu also has 10 new tunes from 10 African countries including Tanzania, Cameroon and Congo Brazzaville.
