Disgraced Australia batsmen Steve Smith and David Warner are returning to cricket in the Global T20 Canada league this week.
They are banned from international and Australian domestic cricket following their central roles in a ball-tampering scandal that shocked the sport.
The Indian Premier League also jettisoned the pair, but Canadian tournament director Jason Harper justifies his decision to offer them a lifeline.
