The recent wrongful missile alert in Hawaii has highlighted the vulnerability of alert systems. It coincides with a new report from Chatham House focusing on vulnerabilities of nuclear weapons systems which were first developed at a time when computer capabilities were in their infancy. Patricia Lewis joins Click to discuss her recent paper on the threat.

The tech entrepreneur Rebecca Enonchong has called on the International Monetary Fund to intervene in lifting restrictions on the internet enforced by the Cameroon authorities in the English speaking region of the country. Enonchong discusses the crisis with Click.

Germany’s Chaos Computer Club is thought to be the oldest of its kind in Europe. Every December it holds its annual Chaos Communications Congress. The latest was the 34th such event (hashtag #34C3) and it now attracts over 15,000 people. Click’s Jonathan Kent went to the eastern state of Saxony and found a thriving cultural gathering of the tech clans.
