Did The Kenyan Election Coverage Get Your Vote?
The Nairobi bureau's News Desk Editor explains the challenges of reporting the recent Kenyan elections and a listener's reaction to the partial closure of output in Hong Kong.
Rajan puts listeners' questions to the News Desk Editor of the Nairobi bureau, Wanyama Chebusiri, about the recent Kenyan Election coverage. While Agnes from Nairobi was upset by the amount of focus given to the 2007 election, where more than 1,000 people died, Raymond, a Kenyan living in England, felt the coverage was thorough and balanced. Wanyama addresses listeners’ points by talking about the challenges of reporting on an election when tensions are running high.
