Russia to keep crucial gas pipeline to Europe closed
The Russian state-owned energy firm Gazprom has indefinitely closed its Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline to Europe, citing an oil leak.
The Russian state-owned energy giant Gazprom has indefinitely closed its Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline to Europe. It says an oil leak on a turbine is to blame, claiming sanctions are holding up regular maintenance work. But the EU says this is just a pretext. Our Brussels Correspondent Jessica Parker gives us the latest.
