New Zealand has paused its newly opened travel bubble with Australia following a COVID-19 outbreak in its larger neighbour.

The decision came after Western Australia announced that the regions of Perth and Peel were entering a three-day lockdown due to a traveller testing positive for the coronavirus. Also in the programme, a global semiconductor shortage has led to suspension of production at a number of carmakers around the world.
