We discuss the implications with Penny Ward, visiting professor in pharmaceutical medicine at King's College London, who has advised companies on drug and device development. Also in the programme, the International Labour Organisation says the pandemic is likely to inflict massive downward pressure on wages, with women and low-paid workers disproportionately hit.
