Authorities in Israel hope to identify the source of an oil spill that has hit its coast. Zafrir Rinat of Israel's Haaretz newspaper explains the background, and Dr Corina Ciocan, senior lecturer at the Centre for Aquatic Environments at the University of Brighton, assesses the scale of the clean up operation that will be required.
