The French government has announced an €8bn rescue plan for its car industry, which has been severely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. President Emmanuel Macron's proposal includes €1bn to provide grants of up to €7,000 to encourage citizens to purchase electric vehicles. In some countries, there are signs the economic recovery from the coronavirus crisis may be starting. As businesses re-open, their owners and consumers say they feel slightly more confident about the future. A key question is what the recovery will look like. Organisations representing 40 million health workers globally are calling for a re-engineering of the economy as it re-opens.
