Google has attacked an Australian proposal to force technology giants to pay news outlets. Jordan Hayne is a political reporter with ABC in Canberra, and explains the rationale for the so-called News Media Bargaining Code. And Belinda Barnet, senior lecturer in media at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne tells us how the proposed law would impact search giants like Google as well as news organisations, if it goes ahead.
