An alliance of agencies say the Covid-19 outbreak could cause widespread food insecurity. Maximo Torero is chief economist of the UN's Food and Agriculture Organisation, and discusses the impact of the pandemic on food security and food supply. We consider the potential vulnerabilities of the globalised way much of our food is produced with Professor Tim Lang of the Centre for Food Policy at City University in London. Neil Stephen of Thorneybank Farm Shop in Scotland discusses the popularity of their produce and meat vending machines that have made contact-free purchases easier. And we have a report on the growing popularity of doorstep delivery for products like milk. Also in the programme, over recent nights, stargazers in some parts of the world have been able to see chains of bright lights travelling across the night sky. Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock is a British space scientist who explains they are satellites from Elon Musk's company SpaceX, launched to try and improve global internet coverage.
