US faces tariffs over Boeing subsidies
The WTO gives EU permission to place tariffs on US over illegal subsidies to aircraft maker Boeing.
The WTO says the US has given illegal subsidies to the aircraft maker Boeing, permitting the EU to place tariffs on US goods; we hear from Edward Alden, a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. As Apple unveils its new iphone, we talk Shara Tibken, Senior reporter at C-NET News. The International Energy Agency says solar power could become a leading power source - Tim Gould co-wrote the IEA's World Energy Outlook and tells us the transition could take some years, but solar power is cheaper than new coal or gas-fired power stations in most countries.
