Iran’s Supreme Leader leads prayers for first time since 2012

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered the sermon amid anger at last week’s plane crash.

Following last week’s accidental shooting down of a passenger plane and the widespread protests that have followed, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered a Friday sermon for the first time in eight years. He appealed for unity and offered condolences to the families of the 176 people who died in the crash.

Also on the programme; new research shows how the danger of sepsis has been underestimated; and we hear from three brothers who have now completed their 3,000 mile rowing challenge across the Atlantic.
