Scotland: Housing and Regeneration
The first of two special editions from Scotland looking at housing and regeneration
In the first of two special programmes from Scotland, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Susannah Streeter looks at the effects of hotel disruptor site Airbnb on the capital city of Edinburgh. For people with rooms to rent, it can be a handy second income while others have built up property empires. But what has been in the impact on the city’s dwindling number of available homes? And how has the hotel industry coped with the increase in supply? Also in this edition, Norry Wilson, a former newspaper reporter and founder of the site Lost Glasgow, takes us on a tour of Scotland's largest city to hear about its regeneration and transformation into a financial services hub.
