Some countries struggle to provide clean water and sanitation, so how can it be improved? Gillian Clayton and Dr Darren Reynolds at the University of the West of England explain cutting edge technology under development that can help turn river water into drinking water. Professor Tapan Dutta of the department of microbiology at the Bose Institute in Kolkata tells us about innovative sensors that monitor the quality of water. And we hear about some of the political and economic challenges that can hamper improvements in water quality from Virginia Newton-Lewis of WaterAid. Also in the programme, as Shinzo Abe becomes Japan's longest-serving prime minister, our Asia business correspondent Karishma Vaswani looks at the impact of his economic policy, commonly referred to as Abenomics. Plus, the last couple of days have seen not one but two major airlines lines facing up remarkably frankly to what is maybe the biggest threat to their livelihoods -- climate change.
