Historic Deal Ends Caspian Dispute

On Sunday Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan agreed a Convention to divide the Caspian amongst them, to share its gas and oil resources. Lilit Gevorgyan, principal economist at IHS Markit, joins to explain how long it took to reach this point.

President Trump has tweeted in support of a boycott of Harley Davidson motorcycles, after the iconic American manufacturer announced plans to move some of its production overseas. Harley is one of several manufacturers hit by the trade war between the US and EU. The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Frey Lindsay has been looking into Harley's options.

Next month Ethiopian Airlines will launch an air cargo service connecting Oslo Airport with Guangzhou in China. It will give the African carrier a foothold in the Norwegian air freight market, one of the busiest in Europe. Martin Langaas, director of air cargo at Oslo Airport, tells us more about the arrangement.

A new report recommends authorities in East Africa should encourage more livestock owners to vaccinate animals against Foot and Mouth disease. Doctor Richard Reeve from the University of Glasgow, who led the research project, explains why.

And finally, the World Congress of Philosophy takes place this week in Beijing. The Congress is held once every five years and this is the first time in China. Professor Lars Svendsen, from Bergen University, will be at the congress and tells us about one of the topics: post-Humanity.
