Trump Supports Argentina's IMF Loan

The president of Argentina, Mauricio Macri, is one of a select group of foreign leaders to secure the open admiration of Donald Trump. After a 15-minute phone call, Mr Trump said Argentina was going through a trying time - and he strongly encouraged and supported his engagement with the International Monetary Fund to strengthen Argentina's monetary and fiscal policies to tackle the country's current economic challenges. That's a reference to the presence of Argentina's Finance Minister in Washington. Nicolas Dujovne's mission is to persuade the IMF to release a fifty billion dollar loan earlier than scheduled. In the United States, most of the news on immigration since President Trump's election has focused on the southern border with Mexico and on the various iterations of the president's travel ban. Less often discussed - certainly compared to the scandal of children being taken from their families - are the millions of undocumented immigrants already living and working in the US - especially in sectors of the economy that involve manual labour.
