US-Canada Trade Talks Deadlock

Global business news, with live guests and contributions from Asia and the USA.

Talks between the US and Canada about amending the North American Free Trade Agreement (Nafta) have ended for the week, with no deal in sight. Friday was the original deadline for a deal, but US officials said they would meet their Canadian counterparts again next week in an effort to reach agreement. Does the passing of the deadline matter? We ask David Collins, professor of International Economic Law at City University in London. Coca-Cola has just bought Costa the coffee chain. In a deal worth $5bn, what does it say about where Coca-Cola thinks the future of the beverage industry is? And we report from India, where production has stopped of the Tata Nano - marketed as the world's cheapest car. We also review the week's biggest business news with guests Lisa Abramowicz from Bloomberg in New York and Nina Trentmann, News Editor with the Wall Street Journal in London.

All this and more discussed with our guest throughout the show - Clive Hunton, radio journalist for ABC in Canberra, Australia.
