Trump Warns US Faces New Era of Competition

US President Donald Trump has outlined his new national security strategy, labelling China and Russia the primary threats to US economic dominance.
His speech - which was based on his platform of "America First" - attacked the "failures" of past policy.
We get analysis from Michael O'Hanlon, Senior Fellow for Foreign Policy at the Brookings Institution in Washington DC.

Also on the programme; India's ruling party has been celebrating victory in two state elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, but we'll hear why it's not all good news for Prime Minister Modi's BJP. Whilst in South Africa we'll look at what the election of Cyril Ramaphosa as the new leader of the governing ANC party might mean for the country's ailing economy.

And Jacob Kirkegaard, senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics tells us why much talked about infrastructure spending in the US is needed more urgently than ever.
