You will have found it hard to shop online over the past 24 hours without big banners popping up reminding you of Black Friday. The mass shopping frenzy began as a retail tradition in the US, with shops offering discounts ahead of the holiday season. Analysts say this year early sales were up by around 18%.

The new President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, has used his inaugural speech to lay out his plans to rebuild the economy. He promised to create jobs, cut down on corruption, and welcome foreign investment.
