South Africa's New President Sets Out Vision

Cyril Ramaphosa lays out his vision for the future in his State of The Nation speech

Improving education is just one of the many challenges facing the new South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, who is delivering his first State of the Nation address. Servaas van der Berg, Professor of Economics at the University of Stellenbosch, and Raymond Parsons from the Potchefstroom Business School, give their views on what the new president needs to do to tackle those challenges.

Oxfam has announced an inquiry into allegations of exploitation by its staff. But will it be enough to stop a fall in donations to the aid agency - and will the scandal affect the whole charitable sector? Kimberley Scharf , professor of economics at Birmingham University and an expert on charity finances, explains why she thinks the repercussions of what's happened at Oxfam will go far beyond that one organisation.
