Recreating Roald Dahl’s writing hut
How an Oscar-winning film recreated the storyteller’s Great Missenden writing hut.
Many of Roald Dahl’s most famous books were created in a small writing shed at the bottom of his Great Missenden home.
It was recreated in the Oscar-winning film ‘The Wonderful World of Henry Sugar’ which starred Ralph Fiennes, with help from the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in the Buckinghamshire village.
Jane Killick hears how they achieved it.
