As Part of Black History Month 1Xtra once again celebrates its Future Figures. Future Figures is a way to recognise those members who are giving back to the Black community, and a time to celebrate the countless acts that are taking place up and down the country today by those who are helping to create the black history of tomorrow.

South London’s own Natty, known as "Natty Can Cook," is taking the culinary world by storm. With a passion for food and a drive to expand his skills globally, Natty's journey is nothing short of remarkable. A finalist for 'Best Young Chef of the Year' in 2019, he’s set his sights on becoming the next big celebrity chef.

Since launching his food content on Instagram and TikTok in April 2022, Natty has amassed over 38k Instagram followers and 28k on TikTok after serving his time in jail.

Natty’s culinary flair is rooted in refined Caribbean dishes inspired by his mum’s recipes, blending tradition with innovation. His viral food videos have landed him collaboration opportunities with the likes of Spotify, Amazon Fresh and Wray & Nephew along with TV and interview appearances with ITV, The Guardian & The Standard to name a few.
