"We've really seen a dip in morale"
The savings that need to be found this financial year by Shropshire Council equate to Β£191 per resident, which is more than any other council in England, according to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ research published today. The council is blaming a rise in the demand for services for its financial hardship. Unison, the biggest union representing council workers, say they're seeing a "dip in people" wanting to work in the council sector.
